I am an incoming freshmen to UI. And I am wondering if I should go with a mac or PC? I plan to major in business, but love to do graphic design. Have used PC all life, wonder if Mac would be better.

Wow, another one of those "which one should i get?" questions. :D
i'll try to answer with minimal prejudice, and more on personal experiences.
First off, the PC. It's a generic, and everyone uses it. And as we all know, PCs are capable of many MANY things, like movies, games, photoshop, facebook, etc etc. It's also a widely accepted OS, meaning if you're doing work, you're assured that your file can easily be viewed by others easily since you both have the same computer type. We also know that it's hard to maintain a PC because of a few reasons; particularly viruses and protection subscriptions. Since PC is a mainstream OS, it wouldn't be all that surprising if there wasn't a virus made for it. But of course, there are a lot of antivirus companies out there who offer their services, for a small fee every so often. :P
Now the Macs. It's basically a hybridized PC, put together in such a way that you won't have to worry about the techie stuff, so all you have to worry about is what you have to do. Hybridized, because you can also run PC in Macs. Apple prides themselves in their rich GUI-based OS, as well as its ridiculously small library of known viruses, making them one of the more reliable computers out there. But of course, there's a trade-off. Most (if not all) PC software and games aren't compatible with (or don't have an alternate version for) Mac. But there ARE some companies who're working to make Mac'd versions of popular PC apps, like Adobe and Steam. :D

Mac VS. PC (Laptop for college)?

I'm not looking to argue either side. However, I'm debating which to get for my college laptop. Could anyone list a good side-by-side comparison or link to a website that does so?
For those who graduated from college, which did you use? Why'd you choose it?

MAC because not virus prone so it is recommended for students! besides, if you really want windows and mac, you could by mac and have windows installed in it. :)
