i need a laptop this year for an ap class im taking online (psychology). & school in general. in high school. nothing real fancy but something good and convenient for school stuff, research, typing a paper, and also just for pleasure. what's the best thing to get?

The best computer for high school and college students are Macs.
You can't really compare anything else. Startup is fastest, internet is the easiest, using them is simple as can be. No viruses.
The only reason to buy a PC at this point is to save money or use it for work that requires the operating system.
