what laptop should i get?

I am going to be a freshman at college next year and i need a new laptop. I am going into accounting. Im not a big gamer im just looking for a good computer with a a good word processor, wifi, a camera, and good battery life would be nice but not needed. Past that i have no other big needs. Price any where between $500 - $1000. Thanks for the help

No help in picking a specific laptop, but help in picking a brand:
Avoid HP/Compaq, Gateway, and Acer. They have had the worst record
for reliability for the last 2+ years. Asus, Toshiba, and Sony Vaio
have been the best. See below:

What is the best laptop to buy for college thats not too pricy but good quality?

I am needing a laptop for college but idk what the best are right now. I was thinking of one of those tablet laptops that u twist the screen around and you can right notes right on it but idk? My graduation is in a couple days and i was gonna ask for this to be my graduation present so any answer would be helpful. thank you!
