I am looking for a reliable place that gives student discounts on the purchase of a new computer. If any of you have any places that you bought your laptop with a student discount please let me know.

Most often, the college you were accepted to will offer its students computer and laptop discounts at the bookstore. You should probably check it out when you go to orientation. If you have already gone, check out the bookstore when you go to your college next, whether that be today or next month.

Also, Dell and HP have very generous student discounts on PC laptops, and Apple has a little bit of a student discount on Apple laptops.

Yeah. The Apple store has laptops that you can get discounts. If you buy a macbook for college, you also get a free Ipod touch, as well as a discount for the laptop.
