Would want it to be cheap. In the Weekly Sunday Ads, I've seeing manly cheap laptops such as Acer, HP, Toshiba, and a couple of cheap deals here in there. I manly want a laptop that won't have a lot of crashes. My college is bias towards Dell. My family has a Dell Desktop at home, it works fine for the most part, but it has a few crashes here in there. I never had a Toshiba or HP. I'm wondering, do I get Acer, HP, Toshiba and stay away from Dell or is Dell really best for the buck.
My College recommends Dell, but please tell me if there is anything else...Thanks!!! :D
You can recommend any computer, not just the ones I listed!!!!!

What is a good laptop computer for both gaming and school needs?

Kyle W

Ok so I am looking into getting a new computer. My computer now is just flat out horrible and I really do need to get a new one. I have been saving up my money for awhile and I plan on doing so for the next few months. I am a freshman in college and I am concerned that my laptop is just about done kicking. So I am looking into getting a new computer with plenty of space but I am also looking into one for some gaming. No not a bunch of different games but basically just one which is Diablo 3 ( I know it might not be out until 2010 or 2011). Maybe some other games here and there but for the most part it will be just that game. I was looking into HP's but I don't know if that is the right way to go. Obviously I am looking for a computer between 800 to 1500 dollars. Preferably more towards the lower end but hey whatever will satisfy what I am asking for would make me happy. So what do you think? Oh please if you could post a link to the computer.

Answer
I use a Dell XPS and it has helped me in both those ways. Mac would be least preferable as it is complicated but for reasearching it would be sweet! Mac is very costly too so budget might be a main problem.
Dell M1330 and above will do perfectly fine for researching and since i own a Dell, it has served me well
Good luck =)
