I'm going to college this fall and am ready to get myself a laptop. I am wondering, considering qualities like battery life, speed, durability, what is the best laptop? This may be a hard question, but if you could at least give me a brand that you would prefer, that would be great.

This laptop has to be under $1000, thank you!

You'll get tired on lugging a full-size laptop from class to class.

A better idea is to buy a 11.6" Netbook (not a 10.1" netbook, which is too small). Carry that to class.
In your dorm room, have a fast desktop with a big screen.

Almost every laptop on the market fits those requirements. Here's a link to the laptops offered by Best Buy. You'll have to look for one with a built-in camera, but other than that, every laptop that is listed will do what you need it to do. Hope this helps.
