Would want it to be cheap. In the Weekly Sunday Ads, I've seeing manly cheap laptops such as Acer, HP, Toshiba, and a couple of cheap deals here in there. I manly want a laptop that won't have a lot of crashes. My college is bias towards Dell. My family has a Dell Desktop at home, it works fine for the most part, but it has a few crashes here in there. I never had a Toshiba or HP. I'm wondering, do I get Acer, HP, Toshiba and stay away from Dell or is Dell really best for the buck.
My College recommends Dell, but please tell me if there is anything else...Thanks!!! :D
You can recommend any computer, not just the ones I listed!!!!!

TIPS FOR COLLEGE FRESHMAN?
Poet with
I'm going to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) in the fall of 2011. Any tips or advice for incoming freshman?
**P.S. where should I buy my furniture for my dorm??
Answer
You really shouldn't buy furniture for your room until you have at least previously seen the dorm room. What you really need is a laptop, a small tv is optional (26 to 32 inches or so), lots of clothes hangers. You might need to provide your own microwave / fridge but I would ask the University what kind of restrictions are in place on those items. TONS of socks and briefs.
