Good Laptop/ Notebook for a Uni Student?

Pdd

Hi Im going to start Uni this year so I need a Laptop. I want the Laptop to be powerful and at the same time have decent battery life. I want a computer that can play movies and music (HD would be great) and can play games (occasionally as Im not a serious gamer) and be great for school work and other everyday things (email, internet etc).

Processor: Core i7 would be ideal
OS: Windows 7
Hard drive: 500 - 1000GB
Memory: 4GB +
Disk Drive: Any but would like Blu-ray drive if possible
Screen: 15' - 19'
Back-lit Keyboard
Bluetooth: Yes
Wireless Cards: Yes
Audio/ Sound cards: Really good ones lol eg. SOUND-BLASTER X-FI HI DEF AUDIO
Video cards: um well good to watch movies and play games eg. INTEL HD GRAPHICS WITH TV TUNER
Battery: Atleast 3 Hours of Battery life without playing games just doin school work or surfing the net

Im doin Computer science and mathematcs as my degree so i will need a good performance laptop.
Also playin games (Counter strike, CODMW2, Fifa 10 etc) occasionally and watching movies. Thanks

P.S. This will be a desktop replacement for about 4-5 years
aren't alienware for serious gamers? Im not a serious gamer at all probably 1-2 times a week for games but mostly for multimedia purposes

Answer
I think you will need an Alienware. The are built for gaming, but they have also incredible performance. You can get a good laptop with your needs for about $3000+ maybe cheaper if your lucky (;

Which laptop should I get? I'm a uni student?

I need a new laptop for the next academic year. I'm a university student in England. The laptop I have is a nightmare and is constantly crashing. I only have £400 to spend. I have seen two laptops, a Toshiba SAT A210-1CO for £400 and a HP G6062ea. They both have the same spec except the Toshiba has an AMD Turion processor and the HP has an AMD Athlon processor. Which would be the better buy? Thanks!!

Answer
Why don't you try the link I have left, all the laptops are really excellent, I brought my son one for college and spent £220.00 the spec is fantastic, not only has it a lot of space and memory its fast as well, and the money you save can go one something useful.
