What type of laptop would you recommend students that are majoring you architecture?
Eric
What type of laptop would you recommend for students that are majoring you architecture?
Answer
Depends.
If they're doing serious design, they're probably going to have nice desktops with high resolution monitors at school anyway.
If you have a bottomless wallet, the 15" and 17" macbooks (not the 13" ones) are really nice.
Otherwise, look for something with DEDICATED graphics (that is, dedicated, not shared, graphic memory, which will improve performance with visual architectural programs) and an i3, i5, or llano proccesor (Like the A8-3500M). 3gb of RAM is good, 4gb is ideal, anything more is a waste.
