Im a highschool student and I want a good gaming/internet laptop apple. But what apple laptop is the best? Something under $600 used i could make payments on. That would be fast and play cds/dvds.

Unfortuantely Apple laptops are pricey. You need to buy a used laptop if you want to buy one for $600. Check Apple store for prices.

A dell inspiron would be great for school. If you get my recommended specifications, you can have it with maximum performance (didn't mean to sound snobby, sorry).

Get an Intel core 2 duo with at least 2.3 ghz

Windows Vista Home Basic

3 GB of memmory

250 gb or higher hard drive

Intel Intergrated Graphics

CD / DVD Writer (DVD+/-RW Drive)

Dell Wireless 1395 802.11g Mini-Card

9 cell Battery (optional but suggested)

a regular usb optical mouse (does not matter if it is wireless or not. I prefer wired because you don't have to mess with batteries)

Microsoft® Office Home and Student 2007


You can also change the pattern on the back of the laptop but it does not do anything to performance (but your friends will worship you for such and awesome looking laptop).
