I'm transfering to CSUS (sac state) in the fall for interior design and need to buy a new laptop, below are my specifics on what I need...
Based off this- what woul u recommend MAC OR PC??
BELOW ARE THE MIN REQ. FOR SOFTWARE THAT I'LL NEED TO HAVE

§ Adobe Photoshop (any version)

WHICH BRAND IS BETTER? I'VE NEVER HAD AN APPLE LAPTOP, HOW DO THEY COMPARE TO A PC?

Yes a Mac is what you want. Don't be seduced by "specs" which are meaningless in isolation and are just used as a marketing ploy by companies producing bland generic computers that use bland generic operating systems to lure buyers who do not have a clue what they want so assume bigger numbers equal a better computer. As Apple produce both the operating system and the hardware they can optimise their systems to give the best performance for the price.
You do not specify what kind of "design" you mean but in general a Mac will serve you well. Autodesk find that over 80% of students studying design related subjects are using a Mac.
